Amish Grace

Wow what an amazing movie. This movie is based on the Nickel Mines shooting which occurred October 2, 2006. The movie is fairly accurate and portrays the events that took place on October 2nd 2006. This is a very sad movie. It was also a very sad event. I would like to get this DVD for my own collection. It is worth the watch and worth the tears.
It is so sad to see how some people think today, and how some people can have lost such hope that they would dare to take some one else's life as well as their own.
Charles Roberts was upset about the death of his baby girl. she died shortly after she was born. Because of this Charles was angry at God. He took his anger at God and went to the Amish school and shot 10 little girls. He planed to do worse. He let all the boys leave. The teacher and one other little girl was able to escape. The other 10 girls where not. Five of the girls that were shot died.
The Amish community showed the Grace of God by going up to Mrs. Roberts and telling her they forgave Charles. That they did not harbor any anger towards her. Mrs. Roberts did not know what to do or say. She felt anger towards her husband. How could he do such a thing? That is not the man I married! She was confused and shocked.
The one mother, Ida, had a hard time forgiving Mrs. Roberts. She wanted nothing to do with her...But when she learns how her daughter handled the gun man Ida has a change of heart. Her little girls last words where saying that she would pray for the gun man. It takes the heart of a little child to show us how we should treat others. Sometimes we have to learn from them.
What an amazing movie. You will not be disappointed.

An Ideal Husband by: Oscar Wilde

This was a great play. It was a fairly easy read. Oscar Wilde uses some very witty phrase through out the play.
"Mrs. Cheveley: By making it a rule to talk to perfectly charming people like yourself. " Wilde.(pg 10)
"Lord Goring: Nothing Ages like Happiness" Wilde (pg 23)

The story is very true. Always speak truth. If you do not then you get caught in a tangle of webs. And trying to black mail people doesnt always work, especially when you are as deceiving as the one you are trying to black mail. This is a good realistic story. It is worth reading the play.

The Bourne Legacy

I was kind of disappointed because other than the name and showing one picture Jason Bourne is not in the movie. though It kind of paints a picture of more of what is going on in the government and the other projects that are similar to Bourne's. It is defiantly a goodaction movie. it is not necessary to watch the other bourne movies to understand what is going on in Bourne Legacy. watch it. suspenseful. action packed.

Mandie and the Cherokee Treasure

Like the last Mandie film. this one was amazing. Yes it is a low budget christian film, but it is very similar to the books that it is amazing. Read the mandie books, watch the movie. it will be great. The man die series is a great series for young girls to read. I read them years ago when I was 10 years old. When I was watching the movie I was having a deja vu moment. Like I had already seen this movie, but it was my first time. That's when I realized it was because it was like reading the books.

I enjoyed it. so should you.Well actually this movie is probably not everyones cup of tea. Though if you read the books, I would recommend watching the movie.

The Three Musketeers (2011)

This movie was fairly good. A very good adventure film. It is a little bit of old style musketeers with some modern twist to it. Sword clashing. Lady double agent villains. Romance. Keep you watching. Watch it. Enjoy it.

Seventeen Wishes By: Robin Jones Gunn

Christy spends a week as a camp counselor. Her campers are set on setting her up with Jaeson. one of the male camp counselors. Christy plays along and lets Jaeson woe her. Christy has fun and really learns more about God and how amazing God really is, when she sees one of her campers come to know Christ. Christy loves being a camp counselor but she is glad to go back and see Todd. Her forever friend.

the Help

"You is kind, you is smart, you is important!"

What an awesome movie. I bet the book is even better. It is crazy how black people use to be treated by white people. I mean what ever made us think that there was such a difference between us that they were less than white people. There is nothing different. It's like saying people with blonde hair are better than people with red or white or black hair. It's craziness. Anyways...
Skeeter dives in head first and tries to bring this fact to life. she helps the maids right a story about all the going on's in the town. but they don't use the real names so that they won't get in trouble. It's crazy how people treated their maids, and now the whole country is about to find out. 

Starry Night by: Robin Jones Gunn

Christy feels left out. She has no one to watch the starry nights with.
Christy isn't allowed to do anything. Katie gets to do everything. Katie has to go to the mountains for christmas with her family. Christy is terribly upset. but when Christy is allowed to go to the Rose Parade she is so happy. when she gets there she finds Katie and Rick alone and is upset. Then she finds out they kissed. Christy is a little upset. after the parade everyone goes to Bob and Marti's for the new years party. When they are there Todd comes home and Christy is so happy.
This is my favourite series. so read it. love it. enjoy it.  

The Mocking Jay by: Suzanne Collins

Wow! This is a must read, must own book/trilogy. This book is geared towards teens but I would recommend it to adults as well. it is a fast paced, suspenseful novel. I can't wait to see the movie, though that won't come out till 2014 and the 2nd part 2015. I am excited to see what they will do with the film.
The book starts with Katniss in district 13 recovering from the last hunger games. All of Panem is in an uproar. Everything is chaotic. Katniss doesn't want to be the mocking jay. Peeta is kidnapped by the capitol. Katniss is going crazy, so she agrees to be the mocking jay.
more happens, but you will just have to read and find out what happens
 

Mandie and the Secret Tunnel

When I was little I used to always read the Mandie books.
These movies are low budget christian films. But they follow the books very closely.
Mandie finds out that her mother is not her real mother and since her father just died. Mandie goes off to find her uncle. when she gets to his house everyone thinks that Uncle John is dead. so Mandie must help find the will. she finds it. and when she does her uncle comes home.
If you read the books, watch the movie you won't be disappointed.

A Little Bit of Heaven

Marley (kate hudson) likes to joke about everything. she doesn't like to let people to get to know her. she keeps everyone at arms length. Then she goes to the hospital for a check up and finds out that she has cancer. at the same time she bumps into a nice man, her doctor, who she starts to date. As she goes through treatment she gets has to open up.
It's a good movie. There are 2 scenes that  could have been left out. and might need to fast forward.

Baby Mama

Kate has been busy with her job. To busy to find a man. When Kate decides she wants a baby she tries everything to try and have a baby. When nothing works she gets a surrogate, Angie. Angie at first is only pretending to be pregnant, but then finds out she is pregnant, but it's her baby, not Kate's.
It's funny, and interesting.

Broken Hill

It's  like an australian august rush. Tommy is a musical genius and is in love with Kat. When they get in trouble and have to do community service. Tommy asks if they can start up a band in the jail. when they are told they can they go to town. but when they ask to go to the music festival there is some hesitation. When they are allowed to go they are all excited.  When they get the festival everything is going great until they go to play and notice that one of the inmates are gone.
An intersting movie with a little twist. watch it. enjoy it.

The Wedding by: Nicholas Sparks

The sequel to The Notebook. Nicholas Sparks is one of the best Romantic novelists I know. Wilson forgot his 29th anniversary. Jane, his wife is disappointed and extremely hurt. How can he forget after so many years together? (Jane is Noah and Allie's daughter) Then Anna decides to get married and what better day to get married than on her parents wedding anniversary.   Anna just wants a simple wedding, but Jane insists that anna have a real wedding so she won't regret it later on.
Jane and Anna go around planning the wedding. The night before the wedding day Wilson has planned an amazing anniversary for their 30th. Jane and Wilson are falling back in love. Then on Anna's wedding day Anna comes down in the matching dress that her sister is wearing instead of her wedding dress. Jane finds out that the whole wedding that was planned was her's not the one for Anna. It was all Wilson's idea. since Jane never got her dream wedding, she is now getting her dream wedding. Jane is as in love with Wilson as the day she married him.

True Friend by: Robin Jones Gunn

Katie wants to go skiing. she has never gone before so Christy says she will go with her. while on the ski trip the popular girls try and get Christy to join their group and ditch Katie. When Christy uses some of their mouth wash and discovers that it is really vodka. Katie takes it to the leaders, but the girls say they got rid of it and Christy didn't know what it was. The girls try and play Christy but when Christy overhears them she goes to the leaders and tell them everything. The girls weren't true friends. the only true friend is Jesus, he will never let you down.
One of my favourite Books. read it. buy it.

A Heart Full of Hope by: Robin Jones Gunn

The whirl wind review. It's not a well written review because you just have to read it! so read it! lol

Christy has just turned 16 and is allowed to date so Rick Doyle is taking her out on a date that he promised her. He sweeps her off her feet and asked Christy to go steady with her. Christy doesn't know what to say and so she says yes, but she doesn't want to because she likes Todd.
Rick and Christy go to a party and Todd sees them together. the next morning Todd tells Christy he is going to Hawaii.
Christy is upset. Rick and Christy start dating. Christy is told that she has to get a job so she starts working at a pet store. Rick is very upset at this.
Rick steals Christy's bracelet and hocks it for a bracelet with his name on it. That is the last straw and Christy breaks up with Rick.

This is part of my favourite series I have read this so many times and I will continue to read it for a very long time.

Forgiven by: Shelley Shepard Gray

There is a crazy barn fire that happens at Jonathan's farm. No one know how it started or who started it. The fire Marshall believe that it started from a cigarette.
Winnie is badly burned when she goes out to see the fire. She has to go to the hospital. While she is there Samuel, a man who used to be in the Amish community, but left it to go to university, comes and spends time with Winnie. Winnie is in her late 20s and really wants to fall in love and get married and start her family. Anna finally gets married.
Jonathan is determined to figure out who was smoking in his barn. When the boy who did it steps up and finally admits it Jonathan learns to forgive him and it touches the boy.
Winnie and Samuel start to hit it off in the hospital. But when Winnie goes back to the Amish Community she soon realizes that it will never work out. When she can't get Samuel out of her head she has decided that she will leave to marry Samuel. But Samuel has decided to leave the world and join the Amish church. Winnie and Samuel plan to get married.
I enjoyed this series quiet a bit. Having a Mennonite background, I have always had an interest in Amish literature and country. This is a good insight into the Amish community and what they are about and a little bit about their views.  

The Deep End of the Ocean by: Jacquelyn Mitchard

Beth is a mother of 3 children. Life is fairly good. When Beth goes to her high school reunion she takes her three kids, Vincent-7, Ben-3, and Kerry-baby. As Beth is checking in Ben is kidnapped. She turned her back for a second and her son is missing. 4 hours pass and no Ben. 4 days pass and no Ben.  4 months pass and no Ben. 4 years pass and no Ben. It seems that Ben will never be found again. The book takes you through Beth and Vincent's most inner feelings and what they have to go through to come to terms with Ben being gone. Then 9 years later Ben reappears. He has no idea he was kidnapped. And the whole family is reunited. But they aren't really a family.
This book is defiantly going to find a place on my book shelf some time soon. It is a must read and a must own. The movie was also pretty good. Though I watched it before I read the book so I can't remember how accurate it is.

Just Wright

Great movie. great chick flick. watch it.
Leslie loves the Nets. She knows everything about them. When after a game she is at the gas station and runs into Scott McKnight. He invites her to his party. Leslie invites her god-sister Morgan to the party. Morgan's goal is to marry a rich guy. When she meets Scott she goes after him. Morgan has Scott wrapped around her finger. When he purposes Morgan has everything she ever wanted, until Scott has an accident. Morgan doesn't like the physical Therapist so she asked Leslie to do the work. When Scott isn't getting better quick enough Morgan ditches Scott. Scott's heart is broken. This movie is great.

the Librarian: return to King Solomon's Mines

Want a different style Indiana Jones? Flynn is a librarian who is now a adventurer. He flies around the world looking for various treasures and artifacts. When Flynn is presented with the adventure of King Solomon's Mines he goes after it. After being double crossed by his 'uncle' Flynn finds what he was looking for and finds out that what his father was telling him was actually true not just stories.
this is a good action packed film.

Couples Retreat

There are 4 couples that go on vacation with the goal of fixing their marriages in mind. They go through some difficulties and challenges as they try and mend their problems. The one couple are not married, they just went along for the fun. When the girlfriend leaves to the other side of the island the group goes to find them. When they get there the boyfriend finds his exwife. They work it all out and reunite. This movie is funny and interesting.

Not Since You

This is an interesting movie. It was a good movie. Seemed a little short. I don't know. I find that most movies that have a lot of Actors in it, and a lot of different stories going on at the same time are confusing and are not enjoyable to watch.
This was about a group of college friends.years later one of the couples are getting married and the group reunites to attend the wedding. Old flings are questioned and New ones are made. Broken friendships are repaired. this isn't at the top of my list of movies to watch. but it's definitely not worthless.

Steel Magnolias

I enjoyed this movie. What a unique community aspect this little neighbour hood had. It starts off with Shelby getting married. Shelby has diabetes real bad. M'Lynn is really worried for her daughter. especially when she becomes pregnant. The pregnancy puts a strain on her kidney's.  what a sad ending. But Shelby really wanted that child, so to her it was worth every minute of it.
Watch it. It's a must see.

The Proposal

This movie is funny. Though it is not very realistic. I like Margaret am a Canadian. Who married an American. The actual process of getting married is a little longer than that. and a LOT more paperwork. Though it was very interesting. This movie is funny. Andrew hated Margaret so much at work, and now he is going to marry her, just so he can become an editor. Grandma Annie is funny. In the end Andrew and Margaret fall in love and Margaret can't put Andrew through jail time and all that so she says she will go back to Canada.

Accidental husband

A funny twist in this chick flick. The 'love doctor' Emma is engaged to Richard. She answers phone calls on air. When Patrick's fiance calls in and Emma tells her to dump the loser, Patrick finds himself single again. Patrick gets really angry with Emma. He is out to get her. Patrick gets his friend to hack into the marriage data base and makes it so that He is legally married to Emma. When Emma and Richard are getting ready for the wedding and find out that there's been some type of mix up, Emma freaks out. Emma meets Patrick and finds out what she did to his life. As Emma and Patrick get to know each other they start to fall in love.

Like Dandelion Dust

Rip abuses Wendy so Rip is sent to jail. After Rip has gone to jail Wendy is pregnant. She doesn't want to raise her son alone so she gives him up for adoption. Molly and Jack adopt Joey, but when Rip gets back form jail he really wants a son. When Wendy tells him that they had a son Rip gets angry and is ready to do anything to get his son back. This is a great movie. I would recommend this movie. very heart retching.

Bounty Hunter

This is a funny movie. Milo is a Bounty Hunter and his ex wife Nicole has just come up as the next target. Milo goes on a chase as Nicole is trying to figure out what happened in a murder. This movie is very similar to One for the Money. A good comedy and boy movie.

Sabrina (1995)

The original Sabrina was played by Audrey Hepburn. This is a great movie. Sabrina is the daughter of the Chauffeur for the Larrabee's family. Sabrina has been madly in love with David Larrabee for a very long time. Sabrina is shipped off to Paris. Where she is working with a Fashion Photographer. Sabrina returns to her home at the Larrabee's. She meets David at the airport and he doesn't recognize her. David is amazed by her and gives her a drive home. When Sabrina tells David that she lives at the same address as David, David connects the dots. A true story of an ugly duckling. This movies is good. I recommend watching it. Next on my list to watch is The Old Sabrina.

One for the Money

This movie was pretty funny. I really like Katherine Heigl. This movie reminded me of Bounty Hunter. Though we watched Bounty Hunter after we watched one for the money. Very similar story lines. Stephanie needs money so she starts working as a Bounty Hunter. When one of the guys that she has to get is her old boyfriend. She thinks he is going to be an easy catch, but he ends up not being so easy. Stephanie learns how to be a bounty hunter and goes through some obstacles, but she gets her catch in the end. This movie is very funny, and enjoyable.

The Vow by: Kim & Krickitt Carpenter

This is a great book. nothing like the movie. Kim and Krickett tell their story. (or more like Kim because Krickett can't remember anything)
2 months after Kim and Krickett got married they were in a terrible car accident. Krickett's hospital bills was 200 000 dollars. She lost about 5 years of her memory. to this day she still can't remember. She had no idea who Kim was. They had to fall in love all over again. Krickett was a completely different person after the accident.
If you saw the movie, I would recommend you read this book. because it is ten times better. It's crazy that it's  a true story. How crazy would that be.

According to Greta

This is an intresting movie. Greta has decided that before the summer's out she wants to commit suicide. Greta's mother has shipped her off to her grandparents for the summer. Greta has this list of ways she wants to die and a list of things that she wants to do before she dies. Greta is bored to death so she gets a job at a local seafood place. There she meets a Julie (a boy) and they start to hang out. They fall in love. but Julie doesn't understand why she wants to kill her self until Greta's grandfather tells him that Greta's father commit suicide right in front of Greta. Julie and Greta have a big fight. Greta's mother comes to pick her up, but Greta refuses to go. in the end Greta gets her life figured out. She decides that she doesn't want to die, but she wants to live. Pretty good movie. A little dark. but good

License to Wed

This movie is very funny. Sadie and Ben decided to get married. but before they do they must go through marriage counseling with Rev. Frank. Ben believes that Rev. Frank is trying to ruin their future marriage. Ben is determined to find dirt on Rev. Frank. Sadie gets angry and all the scheming just blows up in Ben's face. Sadie calls off the wedding and goes on the honeymoon by herself. Ben follows her and ask her to forgive him. And then they have the wedding that Ben always wanted.
I enjoyed this movie, but I didn't enjoy the mockery of Christianity.   

Footlose 2012

Compared to the 1984 Footlose this was a pretty good remake. The main difference is that in the 1984 version Ren's mother is alive. in the 2011 Ren's mother has died of cancer and Ren had to go through it. I think that makes a little more sense and it gives a reason behind why Ren is so prone to be a rebel.

Ren turns the town upside down when he comes into town and doesn't understand the rules of no loud music and no dancing. Ren questions authority and goes before the town and tries and get the town to allow the kids to put on a prom. Ren uses scripture that Ariel (the pastor's daughter) gives him. Ren and Ariel have a thing for each other.

I enjoyed this movie. If you enjoy dance movies, then you will enjoy this movie. It's a great movie. I am unsure if I enjoyed the 1984 one or this one. Though I think that the 2012 one was a little better.

Catching Fire by: Suzanne Collins

Wow, Wow, WOW! So far, this book is amazing. Just after the last hunger game, Peeta and Katniss go on tour. They see things that they never thought that they would see. President Snow is upset with Katniss because there has been an uprising starting. So Katniss comes up with this plan for Peeta to propose in front of the capital. Then Peeta and Katniss are on their way home. At home things are getting more difficult, the security have doubled, and things are getting worse. Then before they know it it's the next hunger games. This year marks the 75th and it's the quarter quail. So the rules change. This year president Snow read the card: This year The drawings will come from the past victors. When those words come out of President Snow's mouth, Katniss' world shatters. Katniss is going back into the ring, as well as either Peeta or Haymitch. Peeta and Katniss are once again heading to the Capitol. Before they even get to get married. The Capitol is devastated. Everyone knows that this year there is no way that they will both come out. So they are in the new arena. Haymitch made allies with Katniss and Peeta. So there is a little group of them on the same team. They figure out that the arena is a giant clock. Bolts has figured out how to get through the force field. And then the hovercraft comes. and Katniss is taking up. She was badly hurt, when she comes to she finds that Haymitch, Gale and some others are on the hovercraft. She finds out that there has been an uprising and people have started to over throw the government. They must keep Katniss safe, she is the symbol of the uprising....she is the Mockingjay.     

Wanted By: Shelley Shepard Gray

I enjoyed this book. It shows how the past catches up with you, even if you are Amish. Katie really wants to catch Jonathan's eyes, but he seems to preoccupied, until Jonathan's sister is going away and Jonathan asks Katie if she can look after her children. Katie has a hard time at first. But over the course of a few months the girls and Jonathan fall in love. Katie has to deal with other things along the way. I enjoyed it. It's interesting looking into the lives and cultures of different people.

Cutting Edge (1992)

I enjoyed this movie. They used a lot of unique camera angles. I was a little disappointed that they didn't show the skating programs, but they did show the footing on the skaters, which most skating movies do not include. Instead of getting caught up in the skating you got caught up in the characters. Moria Kelly did a great job. she truly played an ice princess. She was always distant. I would recommend that you watch this movie. It's different than the newer cutting edge.

Beastly

I really like this movie. Modern Beauty and the Beast. The most cocky, good looking boy in town gets cursed and turns into a not so pretty person. in his eyes he is the most hideous person on the face of the earth. So Kyle drops out of school, moves away and stays locked up with just a house keeper and a blind tutor. Until he finds Lindy and tries to help her. Lindy then moves in with Kyle to try and not get killed. Kyle at first is afraid of her seeing him, but then he becomes more comfortable and shows Lindy who he really is. Kyle and Lindy fall in love. The only way for Kyle to be turned back to his old self is to have some one tell him that they love him, just the way he is. Kyle pushes Lindy away, and she is going on a trip. But right before she leaves, Kyle meets her and Lindy tells her that she loves him. Kyle is then transformed into his old self.
I like this movie. If you like Beauty and the Beast, watch it.

Family Plan

Lying might get you out of trouble the first time, but eventually the web of lies catches you up.
Charlie lies to her new boss that she has a family. And then her new boss wants to meet her husband and kid. Charlie isn't really married so she has to find a new husband, quick. she hires a guy to pretend to be her husband, and borrows her friends kid. But when her boss decides to move next door. the web of lies catches up with Charlie, and her boss finds out. Charlie's boss fires her, but when Charlie's fake husband talks to her boss he hires Charlie back. and Charlie and her fake husband fall in love.

Juno

Juno is an unique movie. The soundtrack is pretty good.
Juno gets pregnant and doesn't want to keep the baby because she's in high school. She finds this couple that really want a kid. The couple goes through some troubles, but Juno still gives the baby to the woman. It is a unique movie.

Living Proof

I enjoyed this movie. It is based on a true story. This was very sad. This doctor has found the cure for cancer. At least for a certain type of cancer, he thinks. But to get it passed he needs money, and no one wants to give him money. One of his patients wife who was cured from cancer decides to raise money so he can continue his research. To get the drugs approved, he has to jump through hoops. He has to follow very strict guidelines and is forced to refuse some patience just because they aren't sick enough, or their not at a certain level.
The first trial went great. but the doc couldn't use the same people for the real trial. the real trial he had to choose people. it was a hard decision, but he finally got his group together. Through out the trials he loses some of the ladies, whose cancer was too advanced and killed them first. once he finished the first round of trials he has to wait about 6 months before he can get started on the 2nd round. by the next tests it's a couple of years. but after a couple of years the drug gets passed.
It's amazing how long it takes to get drugs passed.
Good movie.

Jane Eyre 2011

Jane Eyre is one of my favourite books of all times....along with many others.
I am quiet impressed with this version of Jane Eyre, though the 5 hour one is quiet well made as well.
They capture the character of Jane Eyre quiet well. Her jealousy, her pain. I enjoyed this movie, almost as much as I enjoyed the book, and I really enjoyed the book. defiantly one of my favorites.

Letters To Juliet

What a nice, sweet movie. Sophie is a writer but she is stuck being a fact finder. Sophie and her finance Victor go on a pre-honeymoon trip. But while in Rome, Victor is so preoccupied with planning for his restaurant that he doesn't want to sight see at all. Sophie decides to go sight seeing, when she comes across the Juliet wall. Where woman from all over the world, come and put a letter in the wall, hoping for a reply to there romantic problems. A lady comes up and takes down all the letters. Sophie falls her and finds the Secretariat of Juliet. They put her right to work writing letters to woman. The next day Sophie finds one that has been behind a rock for 50 years. She replies back. A week later Sophie is introduced to Claire, the older woman that she wrote the letter too. She has come with her grandson to try and locate Lorenzo, her lost love. so they begin their search. But to there dismay there is 74 Lorenzo's. Each day they go out  on their search. Claire has given up hope, when she sees a young man that looks like Lorenzo did 50 years ago. but she is so dismayed that she gives up. But Charlie and Sophie ask and find out that he is Lorenzo, and his father and grandfather. and his grandfather comes riding in. And Claire sees that it is him. Lorenzo has lost his wife, and Claire has lost her wife. They decide to get married. but Sophie must go back to Victor. They return to New York, but everything is not as it should be, so Sophie breaks off the engagement and goes after Charlie.
This is a great Chick Flick. I recommend.

Just Go With It

This movie is funny. Right before Danny is about to get married he over hears his bride-to-be telling her friends about how she cheated on him last night. Danny does not go through with the marriage. He uses his ring to pick up woman at the bar. When he finds the woman of his dreams, she wants to meet his soon to be ex wife and have her tell her that it is over. The problem is that Danny doesn't have an ex-wife. So he asks his assistant, Katherine, to be his ex-wife. When Palmer meets Katherine, she finds out that Katherine has two kids, and she wants to meet them. The kids tell Danny that they want to go to Hawaii. So everyone is on there way to Hawaii, when they are in Hawaii, the lies just get even more intense. Finally Palmer and Danny are about to get married, but then Danny realizes that he has fallen in love with Katherine, even though there are so many lies, she is the one he is most honest with.    

Second Chance

This is a good movie. Ethan is the associate pastor at the Rock, church. Jake is the pastor at Second Chance Church, the church that Ethan's dad started. Jake is mad at the mega church and how it is all about the money. Ethan is sent to Second Chances to try and get his act together. Ethan is taken aback by Jake's ways. While Ethan is there he learned a lot. When the township is set on taking down the church Ethan and Jake do everything to try and keep the church standing. Ethan grows and learns to trust in God and not to care about the money.
 

A Simple Twist of Fate

What a Cute movie. When Michael is married his wife cheats on him and becomes pregnant. Michael is devastated. He moves away and becomes a hermit and is totally disconnected to his community. Then one day a toddler (Mathilda) walks into his house. He goes out side and finds her mother dead. He adopts the little girl and becomes more connected, until Mathilda's real father tries and fights for custody, which it turns out that her father ran for house, and lived right down the road for years. In the end Michael wins when all of his stolen coins are found at the bottom of a lake.
This is a cute movie. I hope you enjoy.
 

An Old-Fashioned Thanksgiving

What a great movie. I look forward to reading the book. I did not know that Louisa May Alcott (Little Women) wrote this as well. Though While watching it you could see the vast similarities.
 Mary when she was young ran off with the hired help and started a life with her husband. She had two daughters and one son. Though her husband has died, and the family is struggling a little bit. Mathilda (one of the daughters) is a writer. She Writes a letter to her rich grandmother and asks for some help. Her Grandmother arrives, and helps the family have an amazing Thanks giving dinner. Mary is upset at first, but soon settles her differences with her mother.
I enjoyed this movie throughly and I hope that you will as well. If you like Little Women, you will enjoy this as well.

Dear John

This movie was ok, but it was nothing like the book. Nicholas Spark's novel was amazing, but I was highly disappointed with this movie. I was also disappointed with the casting. They changed a lot of parts in the movie, some that would have made a lot more sense if it followed the book.
Though this movie is good. I would recommend reading the book, it's better. What a sad love story. to be in love, writing letters back and forth, about to come home, but then september 11th happens and John is forced to up his enlistment. Savannah was so sad, but she slowly began to have feelings for Tim. Savannah marries Tim, just after John is on his way home. How life shattering.

Our Family Wedding

I enjoyed this movie. How true, our marriage, their wedding. The wedding is all about the parents, and not so much about the couple. I found that one out when I got married.
It all goes south when before the parents meet, when Miguel tows Brad's car. When they meet they are both upset, and to find out that Lucia is not marrying a Mexican but a Black person. The parents are each trying to plan the wedding and decide what should and shouldn't be included in the wedding. It's a very stressful time. and Lucia and Marcus go through some trials. This is a very funny movie, and very true. I would recommend this movie.
