Atlas is the first book I have read written by Ronie Kendig. This is the first book in the new series Discarded Heroes: Scions, though it is a spin-off of the previous series Discarded Heroes. While digging into it, that series seems to be about the fathers of the characters in the Scions series. I have not read this series, so there were a few missing pieces, though this story was still enjoyable, and I look forward to reading the next book in this series as well as going back and reading the original series.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat. There were a few areas where I did feel a little lost, but I am glad I stuck with the book. It was a great read full of suspense, military elements, romance, and faith elements.
This friends-to-more romance was the perfect kissy-only romance.
