Book Review:

If you enjoy Christian Romantic Suspense and FBI stories, you do not want to miss Deadly Charade by Lynette Eason and Kelly Underwood. This is the first book in the FBI New Recruits series, and I am so excited for this series. This book hooked me, and I could not put it down.

Kira is a new FBI agent and has been working in the translations department. When something piques her interest, she goes to the art gallery to look at the rabbit sculpture that seems to be what the Russians are referencing in the translation work she is doing. When she ends up on the scene, she is now assigned to the case to help figure out a smuggling ring. Kira is paired with special agent Bryce to infiltrate this art ring and must pose as a married couple. Filled with lots of twists and turns, this kept me on my toes.

While working through the case to find the art, we also get to pull back the layers of Kira and Bryce. Kira was adopted from Russia as a child, which helps her with her work, but she still has something she is working through. Bryce was married for a short time before being divorced, so he is reluctant to start new relationships with his line of work. The character development was great in this book.

This forced-proximity, fake-marriage romance was perfect with kisses only.

I loved the faith elements intertwined throughout the story.
