The character development was good. I loved getting to know Grizz with his grumpy personality. Dani is trying to repair her reputation as a journalist. While being out of her comfort zone in the Alaska wilderness.
The setting and storyline were great. Throughout this series, I have come to love Alaska. We come face to face with the militia again, but in a new camp. This time they are coming after the reporter. Some new information is uncovered about the group. There was not as much firefighting in this story, but it was still a great story.
The opposites attract romance was a perfect kiss-only romance. It gave off Beauty and the Beast vibes with Grizz’s grumpy outside, held up in his cabin while the militia is trying to break in, as they fall in love. I am not sure if this was intended, but I enjoyed it.
Kelly Underwood did a great job intertwining faith throughout the book. As Grizz and Dani learn to trust God.
