The Ballerina’s Bargain by Lorri Dudley was the first book I have read written by her.
This story was an interesting look into the Ballet Theater during 1815. Grant is tasked with trying to keep the family afloat after his father’s death. He has left them with the title of Earl but is on the verge of losing it all. Grant is trying to sell the Theatre to try and keep his family from financial ruin, but the sale of the theater would put it into the hands of people who would turn it into an undercover brothel. Emmeline hops in Grant’s carriage and pleads her case for him to save the ballerina’s. The process of trying to turn the theater around to be profitable is hard. It was a fun journey to watch them work through that, as well as all the hardships that came against them. With Emmeline’s hidden past, it is hard. I loved the twist at the end. This story was great and kept me on the edge of my seat.
Lorri Dudley did a great job intertwining faith elements throughout the story.
