The Spy Keeper of Marseille isn’t just another run-of-the-mill WWII novel. This story will keep you on the edge of your seat. It will immerse you in the inner workings of the Alliance spy ring. Roseanna M. White has created this beautiful masterpiece of a story that has brought this time period to life.
Zelie works for the Alliance as a spy. Marcel is a concert pianist who was recently released from a prisoner of war camp and is now working as a spy for the Alliance, conducting a youth orchestra. Using his position to send coded messages through the radio. When the leader of the spy ring is executed, Zelie is left in charge. Watching Zelie work through her own regrets with her late husband and struggle with being a mother while trying to give her children a free France- it made me think of all the sacrifices that were made during WWII. This book had me hooked from the start, and I could not put it down.
The romance was perfect and sweet with kisses only.
Roseanna M. White did a great job of intertwining faith throughout the story.
*I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book, which I received from the author. A positive review was not required. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
