Ellie is a rich girl who runs away from her father and is trying to get to King Westley (who she eloped with) in new york. Ellie is not very street smart and finds herself in a lot of trouble. Luckily, or maybe not so luckily Ellie runs unto a reporter, Peter who helps her run away. By the time they reach new york though, Ellie has fallen in love with him, as well as him with her. Though Ellie does not think that he loves her, so she is prepared to marry King Westley. After she is walked down the elise, and is about to say I do, she runs away and elopes with Peter.
