Mercy by Jodi Picoult

This book was well written. I found it a little bit hard to get into, but once I was half way though the book I just wanted to be done. There was a lot of different things going on in this book. There's the hand written letters, who I'm still not sure who wrote the letters/who they were written to. I think the letters were written by Cam and written to Mia. Then there was the Cam/Allie relationship. There was the Jamie/Maggie relationship. Then there was the Cam/Mia relationship. Then there was the Trial and everything else.

Was what Jamie did an act of Mercy or an act of selfishness? There are so many questions that this story brings out and so on. This novel really got me thinking if I was the jury, how would I vote on the verdict? Would I say murder was okay because it was an act of mercy. I feel like this case would really move me, but in the end I would have to say that Jamie was guilty... guilty of murder. but maybe he didn't entirely see that it was wrong.

Maggie really used her pull to get Jamie to kill her. Your being selfish by not killing me? I mean what is that. that is just mean.

All in all the book was well written and the situations well described. I would recommend this book.
