Yours Forever by Robin Jones Gunn

This series is a little bit juvenile for my age group. This series is directed towards ages 12-16. but these books are my favourite and really inspired me growing up so i shall do a book review on these books as I am reading them as I am travelling. These books are very short.

#3 Yours Forever by Robin Jones Gunn
Robin Jones Gunn does an amazing job portraying the thoughts and feelings of a teenage girl. Never really sure how the boys are feeling. Feeling like your heart is playing tricks on you. One moment you're a happy and totally in love, the next wanting to wring his neck. Sometimes playing love games isn't the way to win a guy. The real way is to just be yourself. Christy finds that out after she has already made a mess of things, but it all works out in the end.

When Christy is feeling cold heart she remembers a song that she heard:
"Touch this heart, so full of pain,
Heal it with Your love.
Make it soft and warm again,
Melt me with Your love.
I don't want to push You away;
Come back in,
Come to stay.
Make me tender, just like You,
Melt me with Your love."

Some times we all feel cold hearted and need our hears melted to show true love. The love that 1 Corinthians 13 speaks of. Some times it is so hard to show everyone love. but that is what the Lord requires of us.

"No matter what happens, no matter what You've got planned for me, no matter how things end up for Todd and me, I want You to know that I am Yours. I'm Yours, God. Yours forever." (Gunn 141)
This is a beautiful prayer. God it doesn't matter what happens, all that matters is that you are in control, and you are the center of my life. Take me in your hands, lead me and I will follow.
